Ingredients
  

  • 500 –600g boerewors 1 large coil
  • 4 soft hot dog rolls or fresh white Vienna rolls
  • 1 tablespoon oil for grilling or pan-frying
  • Butter optional, for toasting rolls

Equipment

  • 1 Cast iron pan or grill
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 2 Knife To cut meat and one to butter the buns
  • 1 Tongs

Method
 

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a cast-iron pan or fire up the braai.
  2. Place the whole coil of boerewors in the pan or onto the grill.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. Avoid piercing the wors — this keeps the juices inside.
  5. Once cooked through and browned, remove and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Cut into four equal lengths. (full length of bun)
