Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg potatoes peeled and cubed
  • ½ cup milk warm
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • 1 Medium sized pot
  • 1 Masher
  • 1 Peeler or knife

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until very tender (about 15–20 min).
  2. Drain and return to pot; mash until smooth.
  3. Stir in warm milk and butter.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Ideal with Oxtail Potjie↗ , Boerewors↗ , lamb sosaties↗ or Potjiekos↗ .
Tip:
For extra creaminess, add a tablespoon of sour cream or cream cheese.
